After a very, very long absence, I return to wish a Happy Mother's Day with this souvenir photo of the single duckling and its Mother, Mallard Ducks, from the summer of 2017 they were and will stay my favorite birds of the pond.

A touching capture and story, hope this wee one continues to grow up healthy and safe. Sad the others were lost to predators or snapping turtles no doubt. LF We had many taken at our pond when they were very young by snapping turtles.
